Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 August 2026.
This is a translation of the Russian original. In case of any discrepancy, the Russian version prevails.
This Privacy Policy describes how the VoiceBoard application (the “App”, “we”, “our”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects your information. We value your privacy and aim to make our processes as transparent as possible.
1. What information we collect and process
We collect only the information that is strictly necessary to maintain your account and to process payments. We separate data into what is processed in real time and what is collected (stored):
Data we ONLY process (neither collect nor store)
- Audio data and recognized text: our service acts solely as a secure gateway. When you use voice input, your speech and the resulting text transcript are not stored and not collected by our servers. The data is passed in memory to our technology partners for processing and returned to you immediately. We keep no database or archive of your voice messages, and we have no physical access to them once the transaction is complete.
Data we collect and store
- Account data: your email address and an identifier of your device. Signing in works in one of two ways: a one-time code sent to the address you provide, or a Google account. In the second case Google gives us your email address and a permanent account identifier; your Google password is never passed to us and is unknown to us.
- Word balance: how many words you have used and how many remain.
- Facts about dictations, without their content: for each dictation we store the number of words in the resulting text, the length of the recording, the language and the time. This is what the balance is calculated from; it contains neither audio nor text.
- Payment information: the fact of a purchase, the name and price of the word package, the date and the order identifier. The transactions themselves are processed by secure, certified third-party payment systems; your bank card details never reach us and are not stored by us. The App has no subscriptions: every word package is a one-off purchase and does not renew automatically.
- Crash reports: if the App crashes, it offers to send a report, and the report reaches us only after you confirm it. It contains the device model, the Android version, the system language, the App version and a technical description of the failure. It contains no dictated text, no audio and nothing you typed.
Data you send through the website
Guide and article pages on voiceboard.online carry a comment form. If you submit it, we store the name and the comment text you provide, the date of submission, and also your IP address and browser details — the last two solely to protect the form from automated abuse; they are never published on the site. A comment appears on the page after a check and stays public until you ask us to remove it. No registration is required and the name field is optional. To request removal, use the contact address at the end of this policy.
2. Data that stays on your device
Some data the App keeps on the phone only. We neither receive nor see it, and it is yours to manage.
- Dictation history. If it is enabled (it is on by default), every dictation is saved on the device together with the recognized text and the recorded audio — so the text can be copied again and a failed recording can be sent once more. The history is limited to 200 records or 30 days, whichever comes first; a single record or the whole history can be deleted in the App's settings, and the history itself can be turned off.
- Text typed on the keyboard. Ordinary typing is processed on the device: keystrokes, messages and passwords are not transmitted to us and are not collected by us.
- Clipboard history, if you have enabled it, along with keyboard settings, themes and layouts.
3. Data storage
Our absolute priority is the confidentiality of your personal correspondence.
As stated above, we do not store your audio recordings, message transcripts, or text input history on our servers in any form. As soon as the text response is delivered to your device, the data related to that particular request is irreversibly removed from the gateway’s memory.
Account data, the word balance and payment information are stored on our secure servers for as long as your account exists.
4. Sharing data with third parties
To provide speech-to-text services, the App interacts with the cloud infrastructure of our technology partners, acting as a transit node. These partners are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and are not permitted to use the data passing through for training their neural networks or for any other purposes of their own.
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is shared exclusively in order to:
- keep the underlying speech recognition service working (transit processing);
- carry out payment transactions (through authorized payment gateways);
- confirm a sign-in with a Google account, if you chose that way to sign in;
- comply with applicable law.
5. Data security
We apply modern technical and organizational security measures to protect your information. All data — including audio in transit — is routed using modern cryptographic encryption protocols (SSL/TLS), which rules out unauthorized access to your information.
6. User consent
By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy and consent to the processing of the data described above in accordance with Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”.
7. Your rights and data deletion
You have the right to request information about the data we hold about you (for example, the email address given at registration), and to request the complete deletion of your account and the identification data associated with it. To do so, send a request to the contact address below. Data kept on your device is deleted by you, in the App's settings.
8. Contact
