Privacy Policy

This policy covers the VoiceBoard app from the store, the one with email sign-in and paid word packages. If you previously installed the open build from GitHub, it remains on your device. Public distribution of that build ended on 3 October 2026. It has no VoiceBoard account or recognition backend. Its data processing is described in the Privacy for an already installed open build section of the notes for owners of previously installed open builds.

This is a translation of the Russian original. In case of any discrepancy, the Russian version prevails.

This Policy describes how the VoiceBoard application (the “App”) and the voiceboard.online website (together the “Service”, “we”) process information about users.

1. What data we process

• Account data: your email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account identifier. Your Google password is never passed to us.
• Technical data: device and installation identifiers, the device model, the operating system and App versions, language, information about how the App works and about errors.
• Usage data: how the Service and its features are used, the volume of services provided, the word balance.
• Payment data: information about orders and purchases. Bank card details are processed by payment systems and are not passed to us.
• Data you provide to receive the services: voice recordings for recognition and the text sent for processing when you start it.
• Support requests: the messages and information you give us when you contact us, including via Telegram.
• Website data: cookies and information about visits collected by web analytics services, and the comments you leave.

2. Your texts and voice

Text typed on the keyboard is processed on the device and is not passed to us, except the text sent for processing when you start it. Voice recordings and texts passed for recognition and processing are used to provide those services. We keep no archive of your recordings and texts; request data may be kept temporarily to the extent needed for the Service to work reliably.

3. Data on your device

Some data is kept on your device: the dictation history, the personal dictionary, the App settings. You manage it in the App’s settings. If backup is turned on for your device, this data may be included in the backup under your device’s rules.

4. Why we process data

• to provide the Service and maintain your account and balance;
• to accept payments;
• to answer requests and send service messages;
• to improve the Service: to understand how features are used and to fix errors;
• to keep the Service secure and prevent abuse;
• to comply with the law.

5. Sharing data

We do not sell your data and do not share it for advertising ourselves. To the extent needed for the purposes in section 4, data may be shared with those who help us provide the services: providers of speech recognition and text processing technology, payment systems, email, hosting, communication and analytics services, and Google when you sign in with a Google account. They may be located outside the Russian Federation. Data is also disclosed where the law requires it.

The App uses RuStore services to deliver notifications and to learn which link it was installed from. For this, RuStore receives technical data about the device from the App, including the advertising identifier, and processes it under its own rules. We receive the device’s address for notifications and the install source label.

6. Storage and protection

We keep data for as long as the purposes of processing require, including for as long as your account exists, or for as long as the law requires. We protect data with technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit.

7. Your rights

You can ask what data about you we process, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for your account to be deleted by writing to us at the contacts below. Sending of some data can be turned off in the App’s settings. Data on your device is deleted by you in the App’s settings.

8. Consent

By using the Service, you agree to this Policy and consent to the processing of data in accordance with Federal Law of the Russian Federation No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data”.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. A new version takes effect once it is published on the website.
