Wispr Flow Pricing: What You Pay and When Free Runs Out
You’ve dictated an email or a study note. Now you’re looking at Flow’s prices: will Free cover your week, and how much would Pro charge you?

Start with the amount you’d actually pay.
$0
$15/month
$144/year, equivalent to $12/month
US list prices, before applicable taxes.
The $12 monthly figure means paying $144 for a year upfront. You can try Flow free before choosing a paid plan.

How far will the free plan take you?
Find your device first. Free has two weekly word limits: one where dictation slows down and another where it stops.
| Device | Slows down at | Stops at |
|---|---|---|
| Mac and Windows | 2,000 words | 5,000 words |
| iPhone | 550 words | 750 words |
| Android | 1,000 words | 1,500 words |

“Limited weekly use on mobile” is the short version on the pricing page. The plan guide gives the numbers above. On iPhone, for example, slowing down at 550 words still leaves room before the 750-word stop.
What happens when you reach the limit?
Say you’re using an iPhone for notes. Here’s how its weekly allowance works:
A dictation Flow has already accepted can finish even if it takes you past a limit.
Picking up a second phone won’t double your allowance. Phones share a mobile word count; your computer has a separate count. Check the limits shown in your app for your account.
Look at how many words you dictate in a week. If you keep reaching the stop, Pro removes that dictation limit.
Which billing cycle fits your use?
Pro lets you keep dictating without a weekly word limit. Free already includes dictation into apps and a dictionary for names, so the first question is how much you’ll use it.
Need it for a short project? A month costs $15. Expect to dictate throughout the year? Annual billing costs $144 upfront, equivalent to $12 a month.
Start with the free trial and check a week of real use before choosing a billing cycle.
Which student offer can you claim?
Check your student offer before paying the standard Pro price. There are two routes to look at:
Student pricing for new Pro subscribers: $72/year, equivalent to $6/month. Check the introductory terms in your account before activating the offer.
$0 annual Student plan for selected accounts.
Use a university email address or ask support to verify your studies. Check which offer your account qualifies for; there’s no single discount or general promo code for everyone.
Approval still needs one more step. In the same account, open desktop Settings → Plans and Billing and activate the offer.
Check your eligibility now so you can activate the right offer before buying Pro.
What if your situation is different?
Your location, work or personal circumstances may give you another pricing route. Pick the card that fits.
Personal discounts
Teachers, nonprofit workers, military members, seniors and people with accessibility needs can request individual terms. Contact support and choose Billing → Discount Request.
Paying in India
Local pricing is ₹400/month or ₹3,840/year, equivalent to ₹320/month. Pay with UPI or a card.
Use the India plans to check the local price and payment options for your account.
Buying for a team
| Growth plan | Monthly, per user | Annual, per user |
|---|---|---|
| Dictation | $23 | $216 |
| Dictation + unlimited note-taking (Notetaker) | $33 | $312 |
Enterprise pricing is by agreement.
How do you try it and control renewal?
The standard trial lasts 14 days and starts without a card. Use it for your usual emails and notes, then check your weekly word count.
A subscription covers devices signed into the same account. If you subscribe, manage renewal where you paid:
- On the web: desktop Settings → Plans and Billing → Manage subscription.
- Through an app store: manage the subscription in that store.
Cancel the subscription to stop automatic renewal. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Refunds follow the terms, including where required by law.
Try a normal week of dictation, check your allowance, then choose Free or the paid plan that fits.
